What is DNADeoxyriboNucleic Acid DNA is the chemical inside the nucleus of all cells that carries the genetic instructions for making living organisms. A DNA Deoxyribonucleic Acid molecule consists of two strands that wrap around each other to resemble a twisted ladder. The sides are made of sugar and phosphate molecules. The rungs are made of nitrogen-containing chemicals called bases. Each strand is composed of one sugar molecule, one phosphate molecule, and a base. Four different bases are present in Deoxyribonucleic Acid DNA - adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. The particular order of the bases arranged along the sugar - phosphate backbone is called the DeoxyriboNucleic Acid DNA sequence. Each strand of the DNA molecule is held together at its base by a weak bond. The four bases pair in a set manner: Adenine A pairs with thymine T, while cytosine C pairs with guanine G. These pairs of bases are known as Base Pairs.

My cancer was detected very early, via a CAT scan. The treatment was not a walk in the park, but it was not terrible, and as a result of it, I have lived a happy life for seven years, with many more to come, I hope. With lymphoma in remission, my doctors still insist on the other diagnostic tests. I find they get easier every time. This story mentions the unappealing liquid Mr. Thornton had to drink before his colonoscopy. Well, I had my latest a couple of months ago, and you no longer have to drink the yucky liquid.
