Test Methamphetamine also known as speed, meth, crystal, crank, and sometimes confusingly called ice is a chemical widely known for its stimulant properties on the human body. I currently take a adhd perscription that has 3 different forms of amphetamine in it. I am also on probation and each and everyone of my UA'S come back postitive for met and amphetamine. They have sent these test on to the state lab and the results are 5000ng methamphetamine and 5000ng amphetamine. To a lay person's eye this suggests that the test are inconclusive. So my question to you is, if I were truly dirty for meth. wouldn't the ng level be higher for one or the other-instead of 5000ng for both I would think that the meth would be a higher n g level then the amp. level or visa versa? I am currently under revocation for this very reason-any help that you could give me is better then me thinking on my own. Thankyou.

Methamphetamines Drug Facts

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive central nervous system stimulant that can be injected, snorted, smoked, or ingested orally. Methamphetamine meth users feel a short yet intense rush when the drug is initially administered. The effects of methamphetamine include increased activity, decreased appetite, and a sense of well being that can last 6 to 8 hours. The drug has limited medical uses for the treatment of narcolepsy, attention deficit disorders, and obesity. The effects of methamphetamine use can include addiction, psychotic behaviour, and brain damage. Methamphetamine is highly addictive and users trying to abstain from use may suffer severe withdrawal symptoms that include depression, anxiety, fatigue, paranoia, aggression, and relentless, intense cravings for the drug. Chronic methamphetamine use can cause violent behaviour, anxiety, confusion, and insomnia.Methamphetamine is a serious drug of abuse. Recently, a form of methamphetamine with a street name Ecstasy has become a fashionable drug among teenagers and young adults. Surveys and clinical studies have confirmed that Methamphetamine is a highly addictive and dangerous drug causing severe behavioural, physical and emotional abnormalities. After oral administration, the major psychoactive compound, amphetamine, is extensively metabolized before excretion. The excretion half-life of Methamphetamine metabolized in urine, estimated by different techniques, ranges from three to five days. For an initial immunoassay result, a cut off value of 500 ng/ml total amphetamine metabolites is required by the mandatory reference guidelines from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. All presumptive positive results must be confirmed at a

What is methamphetamine

d-Methamphetamine and its metabolites are central nervous system stimulants whose pharmacological properties include alertness, wakefulness, increased energy, reduced hunger and an overall feeling of well-being. Large doses and extended usage can result in higher tolerance levels and physiological dependency. Urine based screening tests for drugs of abuse range from complex analytical procedures to simple immunoassay tests. The sensitivity and rapidity of immunoassays have made them the most accepted method of preliminary screening for drugs of abuse in urine. This allows the laboratory to eliminate the large number of negative specimens and focus on the smaller number of initially positive specimens.

Seim was suspicious that meth may have been smoked in the car, so he asked Marie Piper, an environmental health specialist at the county health department, to test the interior of the car for meth contamination.

The tests came back positive. The swabs showed meth levels at 28 and 25 micrograms per 100 centimeters squared, which is far above the state standard of 0. 1 micrograms per 100 centimeters squared.

A methamphetamine-contaminated car that Oak Harbor police seized in a drug bust last December was turned into a steel pancake Thursday afternoon.

Det. Barker found Frashuer in the basement where he was found with chemicals and supplies used to produce methamphetamine. Frashuer does not deny that he was in the basement where the methamphetamine lab was located. Instead, he testified that his purpose for being in the basement was to pack up the lab. He stated that although he was not in the basement previously, upon his return to the house he went straight to the basement to dispose of the methamphetamine lab. He did not adequately explain how he knew that the lab was there. He placed the items in a toolbox, a cooler, and the box from the electronic basketball game.
